Vietnam Legalisation

If you’re moving to Vietnam for a new Job or expanding your UK Company to Vietnam, you’ll be required to present your Documentation to the relevant Organisation in Vietnam. If the documentation has been issued outside of Vietnam, for example a UK Birth Certificate, it will need to be Legalised in the UK before it can be used in Vietnam.

Legalising documents for Vietnam:

There are multiple steps to get documentation legalised for Vietnam and they all depend on what your documents are, for example:

Personal Document: UK Birth Certificate

UK Apostille Stamp
Embassy Stamp from the Vietnamese Embassy

The UK Birth Certificate can be submitted straight away for the UK Apostille Stamp as it is a Government issued Document that holds the Signature of a registrar, you must ONLY submit an original or Certified Copy from the General Registry Office.

Once Apostille Stamped it can be submitted to the Vietnamese Embassy for the Final stage of Legalisation.

Personal Document: UK Degree Certificate

Certification from a UK Practicing Solicitor
UK Apostille Stamp
Embassy Stamp from the Vietnamese Embassy

The UK Degree Certificate requires a UK Practicing Solicitor to create a Certified Copy of the Original Degree Certificate, once this has taken place the Certified Copy can be submit for the UK Apostille Stamp.

Once Apostille Stamped it can be submit to the Vietnamese Embassy for the Final stage of Legalisation.

Are Company Documents processed the same way?

Yes, but the process can depend on the type of Company Document being submit for Legalisation just like with Personal Documents, for example:

Certificate Of Good Standing from Companies House

This Document can be submit for the Apostille Stamp straight away as it holds a wet ink signature from a Companies House Officer on the original Document.

Certificate Of Incorporation from Companies House

This Document requires Certification from a UK Practicing Solicitor before it can be Apostilled, this is because the document is obtained directly from the Companies House Website as a PDF Document.

Do my Documents need to be Translated?

The Vietnamese authorities accept documents in English, however we always advise to check with the people requiring your documentation first to ensure you meet their requirements.

We used A&LS Ltd to have our ACRO's Apostilled for our Non Lucrative Visas. Given the roller coaster that we'd been on to this point we opted for the expedited service which wasn't exactly cheap, BUT, given what we endured to this point, getting these documents in our possession in a timely fashion was very important and worth every penny.
We dealt with Rhianna and found her to be both professional and communicated well throughout the whole process.

Good service however website is misleading regarding the delivery time. I sent off my documents on the 14th of December and received it on the 3rd of January. Quite annoying when i paid for the fastest service.i have since requested an explanation and a refund regarding this..

With this being said the customer service team is excellent and really helped me. Hats off to rhianna who was excellent with her communication, she has a professional manner and i can not fault her.

If I could give less than 1 star ,I will do that,worse experience I've ever had.
Because of my consultant,Zak Walker I had to drive 1.5 hours ,because he won't reply to any of the emails,he doesn't have any answers for me regarding to my documentation, beside (no and I don't know).

Unfortunately the apostille service for 2 documents took one long month with poor comunication which delayed my Spanish Student visa application. The prices compare to other websites which seem to deliver a much faster service (days)and have very good published reviews. I used this website on recommendation by a previous user , but interestingly, looking now , it does not publish any reviews on its website. I would not use it again

Extremely disappointed by Aposttile Services' lack of efficiency and poor customer service.

As I was facing a deadline to complete my documentation for a Spanish visa, I opted for their fast-track, 1-day service and promptly sent the Apostille Application form along with my document to be legalised (having paid £15 for Special 1st Class Delivery to ensure the document arrived on Friday 15th July). On Wednesday 20th July, I arranged the payment of £165. As I had not received an update from the company; I made numerous calls and sent numerous emails to find out the progress of the document. This was extremely challenging and stressful to do whilst working full time. I did not expect to be nagging and chasing when I had paid £165 for the fast-track service and £15 for postage. I eventually found out there was an issue with the document. Instead of the company taking a proactive approach I had to take matters into my own hands and resolve this issue. After 10 days, the document was finally legalised (thanks to Rhianna who was the most helpful person I spoke to and had to step in to resolve this issue as her colleague was out of office - thank you). I then unfortunately missed the submission date for my visa request.

As mentioned, I am extremely disappointed by this company's services. Your website guarantees that the document will be completed within 1-3 working days depending on service level and that there will be updates throughout the service. I have emailed to complain about this and (unsurprisingly) have not received a response. I don't recommend this company at all.

Excellent service, quick turn around even with the postal strikes, very helpful on the phone, CNI & birth certificate was sent back next day delivery before 1pm, was happy and will definitely use them again.

We had all sorts of problems with the FCO as they were taking an age to process some docs required for a visa to Spain - why did we leave? Spoke to Rhianna who could not have been more helpful. Guiding us as to the best way forward and even suggesting an alternative method regarding the medical certificate. Cannot recommend them highly enough and will certainly use them again. This is a mine field and you need experts!

My ACRO Certificate was returned promptly but my doctors Certificate I was told ,was rejected because they had no reference for the doctor's signature, which I duly requested, received ,then sent to person dealing with my case. After several weeks I asked where my Certificate was and received no reply to two queries. It was only when I queried with my agent that I got a response. I was told it was rejected yet again , my agent was told it had been sent. Now it seems that both original Certificate and Doctors confirmation of identity are lost. The inconvenience and added expense that this is costing is galling, Applied for,
Apostled, and translated because I have to start the whole process again, With hindsight I wish I had sent my documents to be apostille myself as the level of incompetence and ignorance is beyond. Not to mention the unprofessional way I was ignored. If it was possible I would give 5 black stars.

What a disaster !!!!!!! I had the misfortune of my documents attestation process being outsourced to this company they held my documents for a week before starting the attestation process, lied on the date the documents where submitted to the Embassy (they said the 9/5 when in fact it was the 18/5. Zak didn't respond to WhatsApp or emails messages despite requesting for communication via WhatsApp. And after the massive delay couldn't do a simple thing like send me scanned copies of the final docs.

Excellent service. I needed to get an apostille for my marriage certificate and sent to Russia as quickly as possible. The turnaround time was very impressive. My optimistic estimate was that I would receive the document in Russia within a week, but the whole thing was handled in less than 3 days. Ordered over 2 weeks ago and didn’t receive item phoned the company on the given website and lady who answered wasn’t even sure if they “dealt” with UKDP. Never received my order so phoned the Head office and finally got a response from a gentleman called Zak who was very helpful and chased the issue and finally got my documents 3 weeks later almost.

Zak assisted to get my DBS legalised, notarised and attested by the Kuwaiti Embassy. This happened during the time UK was under lock down. I paid for 1-2 day recorded delivery on the 14th December. I received my documents on the 23rd December.

Initial problem blamed on losing my documents.
Requested information I had previously stated in an email before processing my request
Recorded delivery was just left in my porch without requesting a signature.

I just feel I wasted my money choosing this option and no offer of compensation was made even though you knew you could not fulfil the initial transaction.

Not a professional way to conduct business in my eyes.

I would like to post an honest and fair review of the service that I have been provided with!

Basically, the service was really quick, made the documents in one day through the email (have sent all the required documents in attachment) without any hustle, delays and troubles. Response is really quick. Also I would like to mention that the prices for the service are really satisfactory as they don’t ask a lot of money. Had to notarise a settlement status in the UK so heard from my friends that they have paid £150 - £180 when I have been charged just £120.
The certificate has been sent to me straight away when done and plus they have sent me a scanned copy of the document to reassure. It has been sent via Royal Mail special service! Quick, reliable and easy going.

Special thanks to Zak Walker! He is a great guy and easy to talk and explains everything if you have any questions!

There was a mistake on the documentation. I quickly called and spoke to a guy who said he will send me an email to fill in the correct details so that the new and correct name can be put on the document. I quickly responded to the email and it has been over a week, no response. Poor service and would not advise anyone to use this service. I had to use another service and they were very prompt.

This service simplified the process of changing my name or part of it.
It was carried out in a very professional and efficient manner and in a matter of weeks I was in possession of a good quality official document and copies, which I used with the relevant bodies to legally be known by my chosen new name.
